Behind the Bar

Behind the Bar is a simulation training game that helps teach real-world bartending skills and cocktail recipes in an immersive, fast-paced environment.

This project was developed by a team of seven dedicated college students for our Alt Games course. We’re proud of what we created, and we hope you enjoy the experience.

Our project is designed to help beginner bartenders/adults learn and memorize essential drink recipes required in real-world settings. Through an interactive virtual bar environment, players will earn virtual money by taking customer orders, preparing drinks accurately, and serving them. This approach reinforces both recipe knowledge and practical bartending skills in an engaging, hands-on format. The game concludes once players have bought a trophy signifying they are ready for the real world.

What players will do:

• Craft fun and creative drinks!
  • Pour liquors, mixers, and syrups
  • Stir to mix the perfect beverage
  • Add ice to cool down drinks and enhance presentation
• Serve thirsty customers and keep the bar running smoothly
• Earn cash to unlock bar upgrades and decorations in the shop
• Flip through the vast recipe book to learn drink recipes
• Gain real-world bartending skills through hands-on, interactive gameplay!
